The Henry family traces to Robert Henry, who was born in Scotland. He started for the American Colonies with his wife and seven children. The whole family perished at sea with the exception of one son, William, and the wife. William and his mother found their way to Greensboro, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. Some of William's children remained in Westmoreland county, but others eventually established themselves in what became Clarion Co., Pennsylvania. - T. R.
